8 is GREAT!

A great age for having pictures taken that is! Paige and I had so much fun together pretending that she was a beautiful maiden in a garden dreaming of her prince charming or transforming into the lead in the play Oklahoma! 
Mid-way through the session she was really getting the hang of this model thing and started coming up with some of her poses all on her own! We just had so much fun playing. 
Congratulations Paige-y on your recent baptism! Your Heavenly Father loves you and is so happy with the decision you have just made!

Now here is one cute and very active little girl. I must say that 1 yr olds are a lot of work but they sure are adorable. 
I, for whatever reason, just love this shot. I think it is a more abstract looking picture and I love the way the shading is on her back and face. 
Isn't she beautiful! I love this portrait of her with those little eyes. Just a perfect little face. 

Britton

Little boys are so much fun! I just can't get over what a blast this little guy and I had. We played in the grass with his soccer ball, baseball, football, and basketball. He giggled and laughed as we had him play with his little fishing pole and then we pulled out the infamous bubbles! 

It was such a change of pace from all the frills and ruffles I had been photographing lately. Not that I don't love little girls (I was one, how can I not love them!) But little boys are a new and exciting experience for me.

He had his own ice cream cone for the first time - at first I am not sure he knew what it was because he pulled some pretty funny faces but he got into it in a matter of seconds!This is one of my favorite! Peter thinks he looks like Cronk from Emperor's New Groove. I had to put this one in because it makes me laugh so hard every time I look at it... little boys pull the best faces!

Too long...

I have been away for too long lately, and for that I apologize. I have had no energy since this baby is needing everything I have. I just did a new photo shoot for a little boy who is just ADORABLE! He was the first little guy I have done and so it was a lot of fun coming up with some different ideas to try with him. I am still working on the edits for that one so to give you a little eye candy until I return from a little vacation to the Virgin Islands, here is another look at a picture from Alessia's shoot.

Alessia's 2yr old Portraits

Well life has been nothing short of crazy recently... I just found out on the 7th that Peter (my husband) and I are expecting our first new addition to the family! I was working on a little animation to reveal the exciting news to my family who lives far away so that took some time. I have also been very sick lately, for obvious reasons, which has set my work load on the back burner. Not only that but things are starting to pick up for me right now and I have already had to reschedule one portrait session due to nausea. I did manage to get a shoot of this adorable little girl, Alessia. 

She is such a doll and was very patient, although not too smiley. We did figure out some ways to have some fun which included her dad getting a little wet!
These are for her 2 year old birthday. Her dress was SO pretty and she looked like a little princess in it. 
I was pretty worried about the location we shot at because it is a very frequently used spot for engagement and family pictures where we live but I think we were able to find some really unique shots and angles which makes this session all Alessia's own!

So here are a few pics of the little family I shot last Thursday. Sorry it has been so long in coming, this past week got a little hectic (as life sometimes does... right?) Well hope you enjoy these cute people as much as I did!

Oh and exciting news... today I will be photographing my friend's post bridal shots! I am so excited to do a mild trash the dress around Salt Lake City! 

Little Cam

Oh the funny faces little girls make...Finally, here is the cutest little girl EVER! We had a fun time once she finally warmed up to me and my camera. The tutu added so much, I thought it was just perfect for a little girl! All these crazy faces she would pull were hysterical!
