Craig and Heather ~ Love

Here is the cutest couple from our ward. They are the biggest crack up, everything they say, Peter and I find ourselves rolling on the floor laughing. They are also two of the most sincere and caring people I have ever met. It was such an honor to take some family pictures of them partially for Christmas and mostly just-because!

The lighting in this field was INCREDIBLE! I have been dying to use a field with loads of texture and depth in my photographs. I was so glad they were willing to trek out there and have some fun.

Thanks so much Craig and Heather for allowing me to capture the sweet love you two share.

Senior Photoshoot

Let me introduce the beautiful, magnificent, talented, and hilarious Emily - my little sister! She is a senior this year and is so grown up I can hardly believe it! My funny little sis who used to walk around in her bathing suit and my moms pink pumps is now a full grown woman deciding on colleges and working in the real world.
She just turned 18 at the beginning of this month too!

My family lives far, far away in Texas and so I flew out to see them for a weekend and we took Emily's senior photos while I was there. It was way fun because their little downtown had all these cute run-down homes where we went and set up a mini studio.

We also had a blast with the crickets in a massive hay field with GIANT hay bails!

I am so glad I got to take some time with my sis and do these pictures for her. She should just forget school and go into modeling but I don't think my parents would approve... he he. I can't wait for her to go off to college and have a blast experiencing those years!

We all love you, Auntie Em! *More beautiful pictures to come...*

Wedding Bells for Nate and Xana!

My husband's best friend from elementary school got married a few weeks ago and they asked me to be their photographer! It was a lot of fun and both of their families were a blast!
I don't really understand what is going on with this picture - once I get it fixed, I will re-post it so you can see the true colors... right now it is doing that weird negative coloring.

Xana looked amazing in the dress her mom made! Her mother also made all the bridesmaid dresses, ties for the groom and groomsmen, vests for the little boys, as well as her own dress. I was WAY impressed! The colors they chose for the wedding were the beautiful rich colors of fall so everything looked very elegant and warm.

It was so fun to be with these two on their wedding day. You could tell they were SO excited! Everyone was way tired because they had all stayed up REALLY late the night before putting last minute touches on everything from the wedding video to the dresses. It all went off without a hitch!

Thanks Nate and Xana for allowing me to document your beautiful day! Best wishes!

8 is GREAT!

A great age for having pictures taken that is! Paige and I had so much fun together pretending that she was a beautiful maiden in a garden dreaming of her prince charming or transforming into the lead in the play Oklahoma!
Mid-way through the session she was really getting the hang of this model thing and started coming up with some of her poses all on her own! We just had so much fun playing.
Congratulations Paige-y on your recent baptism! Your Heavenly Father loves you and is so happy with the decision you have just made!

Now here is one cute and very active little girl. I must say that 1 yr olds are a lot of work but they sure are adorable.
I, for whatever reason, just love this shot. I think it is a more abstract looking picture and I love the way the shading is on her back and face.
Isn't she beautiful! I love this portrait of her with those little eyes. Just a perfect little face.

Little boys are so much fun! I just can't get over what a blast this little guy and I had. We played in the grass with his soccer ball, baseball, football, and basketball. He giggled and laughed as we had him play with his little fishing pole and then we pulled out the infamous bubbles!
It was such a change of pace from all the frills and ruffles I had been photographing lately. Not that I don't love little girls (I was one, how can I not love them!) But little boys are a new and exciting experience for me.
Well with out further adieu, here is Britton...
He had his own ice cream cone for the first time - at first I am not sure he knew what it was because he pulled some pretty funny faces but he got into it in a matter of seconds! This is one of my favorite! Peter thinks he looks like Cronk from Emperor's New Groove. I had to put this one in because it makes me laugh so hard every time I look at it... little boys pull the best faces!

Too long...

I have been away for too long lately, and for that I apologize. I have had no energy since this baby is needing everything I have. I just did a new photo shoot for a little boy who is just ADORABLE! He was the first little guy I have done and so it was a lot of fun coming up with some different ideas to try with him. I am still working on the edits for that one so to give you a little eye candy until I return from a little vacation to the Virgin Islands, here is another look at a picture from Alessia's shoot.

Alessia's 2yr old Portraits

Well life has been nothing short of crazy recently... I just found out on the 7th that Peter (my husband) and I are expecting our first new addition to the family! I was working on a little animation to reveal the exciting news to my family who lives far away so that took some time. I have also been very sick lately, for obvious reasons, which has set my work load on the back burner. Not only that but things are starting to pick up for me right now and I have already had to reschedule one portrait session due to nausea. I did manage to get a shoot of this adorable little girl, Alessia.

She is such a doll and was very patient, although not too smiley. We did figure out some ways to have some fun which included her dad getting a little wet!
These are for her 2 year old birthday. Her dress was SO pretty and she looked like a little princess in it.
I was pretty worried about the location we shot at because it is a very frequently used spot for engagement and family pictures where we live but I think we were able to find some really unique shots and angles which makes this session all Alessia's own!

I LOVE TTD Sessions!

I have yet to do one but I think they can produce some really sweet images! If any of my clients are interested in doing a TTD, I will do it for FREE for the first person who schedules one!

Here is one that is a little extreme from the awesome photographers over at Del Sol Photography. If you are a photographer looking for some new and inventive inspiration go have a look at their blog, Flash Flavor. They are doing some great things down in Mexico and it seems like they are having a blast doing it!

If you are interested in the FREE trash the dress session (*note: this can be done for non brides too... if you still have your wedding dress or want to pick one up at the thrift store for pretty cheap you can have the offer too!) please e-mail me and we can work out the details from there!

Chris and Marissa's Wedding

Here is my friends wedding up in the beautiful city of Logan! The location was perfect and she looked amazing.
Here is her little flower girl... isn't she amazing! That dress was homemade from an aunt or someone.

Mi Madre!

I love my Mom! She is the most beautiful woman (not to mention talented and smart and loving and just like Mary Poppins {practically perfect in every way!}

Here is a shot that I took of her at my friends wedding last weekend. My friend was married in Logan, UT and the scenery was wonderful and the weather was even better!

Family Session

So here are a few pics of the little family I shot last Thursday. Sorry it has been so long in coming, this past week got a little hectic (as life sometimes does... right?) Well hope you enjoy these cute people as much as I did!

Oh and exciting news... today I will be photographing my friend's post bridal shots! I am so excited to do a mild trash the dress around Salt Lake City!

More of the Wedding

As a was editing through more of those wedding pictures from a few weeks ago I just loved how they turned out and so thought I just had to share some more with  you! Ooo now doesn't that make you hungry for some fruit?

A shot from the ceremony.
This was just after the ceremony, walking down the stairs as man and wife. Here are the Bride's brothers who were being SO careful when bringing out the cake.

Also, on Thursday I will be second shooting a family for Stayner Photography
